Peer Support Network
Peer support is one of the key sources of comfort, guidance and information for parents struggling with mental health issues. We Are Pangs aim to grow our peer support network so that parents all across the country have access to groups in their area.
What is peer support?
Peer support is when people use their own experiences to help others who are struggling. Our peer support groups will provide a safe space where parents can share their thoughts, fears and experiences and support one another. They are a place where everyone will feel accepted and understood.
I’m a parent who is interested in joining a peer support group. How do I find out more?
We will be listing all of our face to face support groups on our webpage as they are set up. In the meantime, you can join our online peer support group by clicking here.
I have experienced perinatal mental illness in the past and want to help others. How do I get involved?
If you are interested in becoming a Peer Support Leader, you need to take part in our training program. For more information please email email@example.com.
I want to help grow the peer support network but don’t want to host a group. How can I get involved?
We have a steering committee of volunteers who organise training, support peer support leaders, advertise groups and help to steer our peer support network. We are always looking for volunteers. You can find out more on our Volunteer Opportunities page or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
