Campaign for Better Services in NI
We are putting pressure on local government to make sure that every parent across the province has access to safe, timely and appropriate care with specialist services available to all who need them.
We are also asking for funding to extend our peer support network so that those who don’t require specialist treatment can still seek support in their community.
We want to make sure no parent is left behind, struggling with mental health issues in isolation.
You can help us to make a real difference by volunteering with us or by making a donation.
Every penny goes to helping people in the local community as well as helping us to campaign for better services.

In January 2021, for the first time ever, the Health Minister for Northern Ireland, announced that specialist perinatal mental health services would be rolled out in every health trust in the country.
Where over 80% of parents had no access to specialist services, now parents struggling with severe mental health issues will have access to this vital supported.
However, many parents won’t meet the criteria for specialist services and we still have no in-patient mother and baby unit so our work continues.
The Parent Rooms are continuing to support those parents who won’t be eligible for specialist mental health support through the new specialist services.
